If today’s comic looks a little odd… it was done in Photoshop.  Normally, I use Paint Shop Pro – I’ve been with it for a very long time, and continue to hold it near and dear to my heart.   However, in the interest of being a multi-talented artiste, I’m trying (emphasis on *trying*) to get over my many, many prejudices towards Photoshop.

Hey there, AoD Fans!  Weirdonian here with my Dragon*Con 2009 report!  Where to begin?

Many of my friends and family were surprised that I was going on this trip, especially since I was traveling alone. I was a bit surprised myself by it as it was somewhat out of character, but then I’m feeling more myself now than I have in a very long time (that probably doesn’t make any sense to anyone, but it does to me). I went for a variety of reasons, chief among which was that I hadn’t experienced a convention like this before. Oh, I had gone to a few local ones back in middle and high school, but Dragon*Con is something different.

Today’s entry comes from the strange, sad world of Desolate Robot.  It’s a collection of submitted comics all orbiting around the same poor, unfortunate robot protagonist, and I’m officially helping make things worse.  They welcome submissions, so I strongly recommend any of you webcomic creator/slackers out there express some of your rampant unwanted creativity through their medium.

I’d like to thank everyone who stuck with us during the last few weeks and the birth of the baby.  With this comic, I’m officially resuming control as the master-and-commander of AoD.  I’d also like to thank anyone who provided filler art/comics – trust me, they’re still going to be used.

On an unrelated note, Comicpress Manager seems to have uninstalled itself from my site, so I’m going manual until I can put it back in.  Here’s to hoping this works.

Once again, The Apple of Discord will be represented… sort of, anyway… at Atlanta’s giant scifi/fantasy/what-have-you convention, Dragon*Con.  As I indicated before, I myself will be unable to attend (due to The Baby) this year, however co-collaborator Russ is taking over my duties kissing hands and shaking babies this year.

As I indicated before, in addition to Russ wandering around, Impy and Poe of the webcomic Errant Story and their “studio store” Selling Out for Fun and Profit are going to have a limited supply of Official Apple of Discord merchandise for sale and to give away.  T-Shirts (both the Gayzilla and the Love Triangle models) are $15 each and all three volumes of the AoD Year 1 print collection are available for $5 each.  There’s also the free stuff – buttons, some apple jewelery, and even some Golden Apples, available for the asking.  Here’s a link to their post describing where they are and how to find them.

The Union of Heroes crossover continues.

So to answer the pressing question J Gray keeps asking me… that’s where The Apple has been hiding.  Bizarro Germany.

Also note The One Who Know’s explaination here… I’ll try and explain it in as correct of a tense as I can.  A future version of Art will go back in time (has have had to go forward/back in time) , giving (will have to have had given) the Apple to TWHK so that he can go forward (back… er… sideways… I’m not sure anymore) and give it to himself again.

Unless The One Who Knows is just lying.  Which he may be.
